Our Story
As sisters, we grew up in a home where gatherings were centered around food, always with a blend of rustic family recipes and fun new flavor experiments. With the Pandemic taking away our ability to gather, Little Boxes NYC was born out of a desire to instill the energy of these family gatherings into a giftable homemade treat. (Our first clients were each other!)
We do our best to source ingredients locally as much as possible and make everything in small batches from our home base in Brooklyn. We look forward to bringing new inspiration to our boxes and rotate recipes seasonally. Stay tuned for future flavor drops!

About Us
Jessica “Jess” Valenzuela
Jess is a romantic cookie maven, putting some serious mileage on her new KitchenAid mixer and making magic in her Boerum Hill apartment. Her background in retail and customer service mean everything she touches looks like a magazine spread, but rest assured she never pays full price :) While she’s waiting for the butter to soften, she is watching crime dramas or documentaries, doing burpees begrudgingly, scrolling and trolling all of the internet cats, and organizing her evergrowing cookbook collection.
Monica “Momo” Valenzuela
Momo lives in Sunset Park, Brooklyn with her husband, daughter, and rescue cat. She is a life-long New Yorker, who shows love to her hometown of Staten Island on a regular basis. She has also spent some time in the Hudson Valley, Utah, Chile, and The Netherlands and loves to travel (when not quarantining), especially if it means eating! When not making treats, she can be found wandering thrift stores, watching movies with a strong female lead, drinking seltzer, eating her body-weight in olives and cured meats, and organizing curators, artists and art events in and around NYC.
